Hand washing has a new ambassador making sure we all keep up good hygiene during the Covid-19 pandemic. Wang Wang the giant panda at Adelaide Zoo in Australia has showed off his hand-washing skills in a new video released today.

While we wouldn’t recommend following Wang Wang’s technique the message is important. Wang Wang jumped straight in to the tub of bubble wash to enjoy a bath rather than just washing his hands.

He enjoyed a good splash in the water and moved the water around so much it gave the windows of his exhibit a good wash as well.

In the wild pandas enjoy a regular wash in the stream though there are slightly less bubbles. The bubble bath is part of the enrichment program for the giant pandas at Adelaide Zoo which helps to mimic their wild behaviors.
