SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium are giving you the chance to get over your ex in a special way this valentine’s day. Singles burned by an ex lover can name a fish after their ex and watch a video of it being fed to the hagfish family.
Why a hagfish? SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium said in a release they are perfect, “Because hagfish feed on any scrum lying on the ocean floor and they’ll do it in the most repulsive manner – from the inside out. Just the disgusting way your heartless ex deserves to be consumed!”

Burned flames can name the fish carcass after their slimy ex. To win this opportunity you can enter the competition by explaining in 25 words or less why your ex deserves to be fed to a hagfish. Only 10 exes will be selected to be fed to a hagfish. Winners will receive a double pass to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium where they can meet the hagfish in person.
Each entry will require a $1 donation to the SEA LIFE Trust which works around the globe protecting aquatic animals and their habitats.

“We don’t have the power to heal a broken heart but perhaps this unique form of therapy will deliver some closure and provide singles with a reason to celebrate this Valentine’s Day,” said Penelope Carbia-Kolevski, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium Aquarist.
The competition closes at 11.59pm AEST on Thursday 11 February 2021. Ten singles with the worst exes will receive a video of their ex being fed to a hagfish on Sunday 14 February 2021. It will also be available to watch on SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium’s Facebook and Instagram pages on Valentine’s Day.
