Joanne the gorilla is growing up at San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Seven months back we bought you the story of a young gorilla that was born via a C-section at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. If you didn’t get a chance to see that story you can read it here-https://theanimalfacts.com/zoo-babies-rare-c-section-on-a-gorilla/

Now the young gorilla has been named Joanne and is beginning to explore her home. Joanne has been riding around on Imani clinging to her back, hip, leg, arm, right side up, upside down or anything else you could imagine. Now though she is also beginning to move about on the ground and exploring the world around her.

Joanne is described as never staying in one spot. She has taken an interest in her older brothers who are regularly seen wrestling. She is eager to participate but at the moment is still a bit small. For now she sits and watches or bounces around on her own nearby.

Her inquisitive nature means that she always want to see what mum is up too. Food is also one of her interests. She loves to taste everything that Imani has collected. Mom likes to share foods including her favourites acacia browse, tomatoes and lettuce. Dad, Winston isn’t as keen on sharing though especially his favourite kale.
