Sea Life Sydney Aquarium has re-invented their indoor rockpool exhibit which allows visitors to get hands on with sea creatures and a range of biofacts.
Formerly displaying tropical species the exhibit has been updated to display species found along the coastline of Sydney.
At the new touch pool guests will find Sydney starfish and sea urchins along with discovering pieces of natural life such as shark teeth or anemones. The touch pool is filled with water taken directly from Sydney Harbor which sits next to the aquarium.

“Reinventing the rockpool to be as local as possible allows us to continuously adjust the environment so that there is always something new for visitors to discover and learn about Sydney’s amazing rock pools,” Robbie McCracken, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium Aquarist and Rockpool Expert said.
“It also gives young visitors a better understanding and appreciation of the incredible organisms that they are likely to encounter at their local beaches.”
The new rockpool exhibit will be open to visitors ready for the upcoming school holiday period.
