A group of four Magellanic penguins from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, United States have gone on a field trip to the neighboring Soldier Field. The awesome foursome stormed the field on their latest field trip which follows visits to the Field Museum and the MCA.
Izzy and Darwin who have been on the previous excursions were joined for this adventure by Tombo and Charlotte under the watchful eye of their caretakers.
The penguins got plenty of exercise as they speed through the tunnel, explored the field and inspected the locker rooms.

These excursions are cute for us to watch but are important to keep the penguins mentally stimulated. On each trip they experience new sounds, smells and sensations including grass under their feet. This variety is important for the birds and their keepers work hard to ensure no two days are ever the same.
