Magellanic penguins from Shedd Aquarium explore the FRIENDS Experience

Penguins from the Shedd Aquarium have explored The Friends Experience on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, USA. Four magellanic penguins known as Howard, Georgia, Fitz and Mercedes were taken on the field trip.

This is the latest in a series of ongoing adventures which the penguin colony from the Shedd Aquarium have gone on during the pandemic.

At present The Friends Experience is closed to visitors. It is set to reopen March 17 with tickets now available. A portion of each ticket will support My Block, My Hood, My City in their efforts to support youth education and arts in underserved communities.

While at the experience the awesome foursome were able to explore iconic locations from the TV show FRIENDS such as Joey and Chandler’s living room, Central Perk and even met another penguin…Joey’s pal Hugsy.

These adventures are part of the aquarium’s welfare plan for the penguins. As they explored the sets the penguins were exposed to new sensations and sights. This provides variety in the penguin’s day.

Shedd Aquarium have produced a video of the adventure which they hope encourages people to get out and explore all the city of Chicago has to offer as it reopens and recovers.
