A white-faced saki monkey was born at the Chester Zoo on September 2nd . The young monkey can be seen riding on the back of her mum, Tabiti.
Keepers have described Tabiti as a ‘great mum’ and say that Kwiniti, the father is a ‘protective dad.’ The baby is said to be wide-eyed and doing well.
The zoo says it is too early at this time to determine what gender the saki monkey is and therefore cannot yet name the youngster.
Saki monkeys are native to rainforests in South America. They are known for the adult males have a white face which contrasts with their black body.
