During the final months of the Wild at Heart partnership series the animals of Woodland Park Zoo have visited the Space Needle in Seattle.
A range of animals within the zoo’s animal ambassador collection took a trip 605ft in to to the air with the assistance of a lift to take in the views over Seattle.
Buddy the pharaoh eagle owl got to take in the views across Seattle from the world’s first and only revolving glass floor. Keepers describe Buddy as an easygoing and personable owl whose favorite food is mouse.
Meanwhile Skyáana the North American porcupine took in the views from the outdoor deck with its tilting glass walls. Along the way she received some of her favorite treats such as yams from animal care staff.

The space needle is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Seattle. During 2018 a modern twist on the ingenuity and innovation of the original 1962 World’s Fair build was revealed. A range of walls, barriers and floors were removed and replaced with structural glass.
